Newport Beach has long been a destination for the weekend brunching crowd and Mother’s Day is no exception. Many of the restaurants in Newport Beach have pulled out all the stops to make moms special day one to remember. Each restaurant below has something unique to offer moms. You will find everything from waterfront patio destinations like The Cannery and 21 Oceanfront, to live music at Sol Cocina, romantic hotspots like Bayside and Port Restaurant, or tasty food for the health conscious mom at True Food Kitchen, and even some casual low key local treasures like The Alley and Bungalow Restaurant.
It’s time for a community celebration! The City of Newport Beach will be hosting a Civic Center & Park Community Celebration and Open House on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcomed and the event is free of charge. Bring the family and friends out and celebrate with the city and enjoy live music, guided tours of the new space, tasty eats from Newport finest restaurants, and arts and crafts for the kids.
Spring is here, Easter is just around the corner, and we are hopping to share all the Newport Beach happenings planned. When we think Easter in Newport Beach we think of an Easter egg hunts with unmatched views and the mouth watering brunch spreads that Newport Beach is known for.
Activities:
Begin by getting your chocolate fix with an Easter egg hunt in Newport Coast at Pelican Hill or beachside at The Dunes, then head over to Fashion Island to snag a pic with the Easter Bunny.
Get ready to get your green on in Newport Beach as we ring in another festive year of green beer and bar crawls. It’s never too early to start the preparation according to Mutt Lynch’s who has already declared “St. Practice Day” with their extra large schooners we have all come to know and love so well. If legend holds true Muldoon’s, a Newport Beach bar notorious for their St. Paddy’s Day ( Not Patty’s. Here’s why.) line that starts in the wee hours of the morning, will be the talk of the town yet again.
Malarky’s has announced that their annual limited quantity T-shirts are in stock now, along with a full bar of Shameson. And when it’s standing room only at Malarky’s and you want some fresh air, you can always head across the street to Rudy’s where they famously pull out all the stops from costumes to festive decor.
Feeling like a little Irish Jig? Head over to The Shamrock on PCH for some live Irish music and drink specials. Last but certainly not least, no St. Paddy’s Day crawl could be complete without an Irish Jog to The Alley, because by now you will surely be jogging not jigging. Speaking of jog and jigs we can’t send you off properly without getting you brushed up on your jigging skills, so before you head out be sure to take a tip from these ladies. Be safe, call a cab, and always tip your servers. Happy Drinking!

The Holidays are here and we are pleased to announce the 7th Annual Newport Beach Restaurant Week, taking place January 18th to the 27th. We recommend starting those New Year’s dieting resolutions after January, with over 70 participating restaurants, this year’s restaurant line-up is sure to tempt your palate. With record restaurant participation, 7 days is hardly enough time for die hard foodies to get their fix, so Newport Beach Restaurant Week has been extended to 10 days, spanning over two food filled weekends.
