Meet Executive Chef Dennis Brask of Five Crowns at Upcoming Taste of Newport “Chef’s Cooking Pavilion”
Local favorite Executive Chef Dennis Brask joins us at the “Chef’s Cooking Pavilion” at the Taste of Newport.
Local famed and long time favorite, Executive Chef Dennis Brask of Five Crowns and SideDoor comes to us again this year to teach us how to “Grill up a Seasonal Salad.” Brask was named 2009-2010 “Chef of the Year” by the Southern California Restaurant Writers and was a favorite at last year’s “Chef’s Cooking Pavilion.” You can see him in his groove this Sunday, September 19th at 12:30pm at the Chef’s Cooking Pavilion at The Taste of Newport.
A beautiful replica of one of England’s oldest country inns, Five Crowns is a place of candlelight and cozy fireplaces where good cheer and warm hospitality invite you to leave your cares at the door. There is something to delight the eye at every turn in this restaurant, with its many nooks and crannies, antiques and rare paintings. Five Crowns also received a Four-Star Award for its cuisine and the Golden Bacchus Award for its wine list in a ceremony held Sunday, March 14 2010. At this restaurant you will find the award-winning food, exceptional service and unmistakable style that have made Five Crowns a dining legend since 1965.
The Newport Beach Restaurant Association sponsors the “Chef’s Cooking Pavilion” Expo, an exclusive Orange County culinary event at the “Taste of Newport” September 17-19, 2010. The “Chef’s Cooking Pavilion” was “all the buzz” at last year’s Taste of Newport serving up popular 45 minute live cooking demonstrations, free tastings and wine pairings.
The expo features the hottest Newport Beach celebrity chefs as they share their culinary flair for a live audience to taste and enjoy throughout the three day event. This complimentary culinary expo is a unique opportunity to personally meet the hottest Newport Beach celebrity chefs as they engage with local foodies and cook up some of their most sought after dishes and secret recipes.
