Newport Beach Gets Green for St. Patty’s Day

Every year swarms of people celebrate St. Patty’s day complete with festive garb and green beer. Here are a few places where green is all the rage in Newport Beach. We would love to hear your favorite local spot to celebrate St. Patty’s in Newport. Leave your suggestions in the comment area below.

1) Muldoon’s, Newport Beach

This legendary bar and restaurant in Newport has a cult following when it comes to St. Patty’s. Lines are expected but well worth the wait when it comes to this festive destination. Muldoon’s will be serving Irish breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pub will also be featuring a live Irish band to get patrons in the spirit of the Emerald Isle. GET THERE EARLY.
Pub grub: bangers & mash, shepherd’s pie, corned beef & cabbage, and fish & chips.
Beer: Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks Ale, plus 6 other beers on tap.
Hours: 10 a.m.-2 a.m.

2) Malarky’s, Newport Beach

For a a smaller venue that packs a punch for St. patty’s try Malarky’s on the Peninsula.
Pub Grub: buffalo wings, chili cheese skins, quesadilla, nachos and chicken strips. Newcastle beer battered fish & chips, pub burger, corned beef sandwich, clam chowder, Irish stew, and guacamole bacon chicken sandwich.
Beer: Coors Light, Newcastle, Bass, and Blue Moon.
Hours: 10 a.m.-2 a.m.

3) The Alley, Newport Beach

If some fun without the massive crowds is what you are after, make your way over to The Alley and Get Green complete with an Irish Feast, Green Beer, Bushmills Promotions all night for your celebratory pleasure.
Hours: 10 a.m.-2 a.m.
