Balboa Peninsula Restaurants Participating in the 2012 Newport Beach Restaurant Week
Newport Beach Restaurant Week is here and each of Newport Beach’s neighborhoods have some stand out restaurants participating in this week long celebration. Today we feature the Balboa Peninsula.
Home to the Balboa Fun Zone, Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, Balboa Pier, whale watching, sport fishing, and the famous “Wedge” for thrill-seeking bodysurfers, the Balboa Peninsula is an ideal location for family-friendly good times. In addition to the plethora of fun recreational activities available, the Balboa Peninsula also offers many dining options.
Rockin Baja Coastal Cantina, and
Woody’s Wharf are all participating in the 6th Annual Newport Beach Restaurant Week. They are offering bargain gourmet 3 course prix-fixe menus at $10 or $15 for lunch and $20, $30, or $40 for dinner. One of the premiere seafood destinations in Orange County, 21 Oceanfront is a scenic location right on the water across from the Newport Beach pier. Avila’s El Ranchito’s roots started in the kitchen over 40 years ago when Mama Avila brought the delicious recipes from Guanajuato, Mexico that had been in her family for generations. Over the years, Avila’s El Ranchito has grown to 12 locations in Los Angeles and Orange County. Stop by Avila’s El Ranchito in Newport Beach and enjoy their Taco Tuesday and its $5 all-you-can-eat taco bar. Crow Burger Kitchen Crow offers a cohesive and tasty menu of gourmet hamburgers, salads, sandwiches and, of course, beer. Il Farro Café’s cozy Italian atmosphere and its family-oriented service give its customers one of the best Italian experiences in all Orange County. Located at the entrance to the beautiful Balboa Peninsula, Pescadou Bistro serves authentic French fare in a quiet, romantic setting. Famous for its ‘Baja Buckets’ (buckets of shellfish or surf n’ turf for groups of 1-4 served with sides), Rockin Baja Coastal Cantina is a fun beachfront establishment and great neighborhood spot for locals and tourists alike looking for a casual meal or a few drinks. Woody’s Wharf is a historic eatery that’s been serving the boat community since 1967. Enjoy weekend brunches on their outdoor deck which overlooks the Newport Harbor or happy hour.
